Hey, welcome to another episode of Call Me Donovan. I’m your host, Donovan, from Tifton Media Works, recording on June 10th, 2024. This episode is mainly housekeeping and an apology. I recently moved the podcast from Substack to Acast, inspired by other podcasters I follow and the free tier they offer. I had previously used Transistor.fm, which I liked, but it cost $19 a month without a free option.
Over the weekend, I realized I preferred Substack despite some quirks. I announced this on my Substack at callmedonovan.substack.com, so please subscribe there if you haven’t yet.
During the transition, some episodes reappeared in the feed, which might confuse listeners. I apologize for this. If you see episodes you’ve already heard, just archive them. I have more podcast listeners than Substack subscribers, so I urge you to subscribe on Substack for additional content that might not be in audio format.
I manage an online radio station, Radio Tift, and started a show called “Friday Night ’80s at 8.” Each week, I play top hits from a specific year in the ’80s. Tune in on RadioTift.com or the Live365 app, starting this Friday, June 14th, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, featuring songs from 1988.
I also reviewed the latest Doctor Who episode, “Rogue,” giving it a 7 out of 10. While the episode was enjoyable, I had issues with the Doctor’s promise to keep Ruby safe but then leaving her alone. Overall, it was a solid episode with intriguing twists.
Thanks for listening, and sorry again for the podcast shuffle. I hope this will be the final move. You can reach me at [email protected] or on social media.
